PLAINVIEW — Planned giving is up 47 percent at Wayland Baptist University during the current fiscal year, a substantial increase that demonstrates a growing commitment to support the institution’s mission while ensuring the university’s long-term success.
“We are thrilled to witness such a remarkable increase in planned giving,” said Dr. Bobby Hall, President. “This surge is a testament to the deep connection established with our alumni and friends, as well as the communities we serve. These legacy commitments will have a transformative impact on future generations of students.”
In announcing the incredible surge, Hall was joined by Mike Hammack, Vice President of Institutional Advancement.
“Planned giving is an emphasis for Wayland and vital to our future,” Hammack said. “Our alumni and friends are discovering new ways to provide for loved ones while reducing taxes and supporting the university.”
A philanthropic strategy that allows donors to make a lasting impact on the university’s future, planned giving has gained significant traction at Wayland. Projections indicate the trend is expected to continue.
“This surge in planned giving reflects the dedication of alumni, friends and supporters to contribute to the institution’s enduring legacy and sustained excellence in Christ-based higher education,” Hammack said.
“Planned giving allows individuals to leave a personal legacy by supporting scholarships, academic programs, and campus enhancements that align with values that are important to them,” Hall added.
