Graduation is a special time, and we want to recognize you and the work you have done to reach this goal. We are proud of you and all you have accomplished. We encourage you to celebrate with your family, and may God bless you as you pursue His plan for your life.
Join us in person or live online for our next graduation ceremony.
For graduation, students selected as platform party participants will rehearse at 1:00 p.m. on the Friday prior to graduation in Hutcherson Gymnasium.
All graduates will meet in Harral Auditorium at 1:15 p.m. the day of graduation to prepare for the processional march to Hutcherson Center. It's a great WBU tradition!
Torch & Mantle
On each graduation day, this meaningful ceremony takes place on campus for our residential students. For Torch and Mantle, graduating seniors select an underclassman to pass their torch to and encourage them to finish their own course work. Their names are sewn onto a stole and becomes part of this unique tradition. Seniors also may select a member of administration, faculty, or staff who served as a role model to join them in continuing this thread that runs through generations of Wayland graduates.

Challenge Coin
Since 2020 our graduates have been receiving a challenge coin to remind them of their membership into Wayland's Alumni Association.
