The Illuminate Program was created to assist you and your family with the transition from high school to college. It will help you have the best opportunity for success during that first year of college.
It is totally FREE and includes housing, meals and activity costs.
During the short, three-week program, you will receive academic instruction to strengthen math and English skills and give you the opportunity to test out of certain classes. It will also provide an opportunity to receive two hours of college credit through the BASC class (Best Achievement Strategies for College). Currently, it is by invitation only. However, if you have not received an invite and would like to be a part of this beneficial program, you can apply for standby-openings if they become available by filling out the form below.
With the Illuminate program, you will develop skills and habits for college success – effective communication, learning skills, use of technology, time management, ability to research, test taking, emotional/physical wellness, and factors unique to Wayland. Also, through activities outside the classroom, you will have the opportunity to develop relationships and make new friends. And it's free!
