BSM Activities

How to Get Involved

Our BSM, located in the SMAC (Student Ministries Activity Center) on 9th and Utica, hosts several fellowship opportunities each month. We also look forward to seeing you at casual events like cookouts, tailgate parties, ultimate frisbee, and game nights. Students are welcome to join any event and/or ministry!

  • Pray for your campus

 Fresh815:

This ministry is geared toward incoming freshman. The name comes from Luke 8, the parable of the sower. We want to see freshman become seeds that fell on good soil and to grow where they've been planted.

Fresh815 meets every Thursday night in the first Fall semester at 8:15pm in the SMAC. There, former freshman will share bits of wisdom and survival skills with our newcomers. We also believe in fun and laughter, so come prepared for games and good conversation!

Focus:

As our weekly large group worship service, FOCUS is an integral part of what the BSM does on campus. This is a time for students across campus to come together for worship, fellowship, and study. Our service includes a student led worship band and short message from our BSM Director or a guest.

FOCUS starts at 7pm every Monday night, and it is hosted in the SMAC.

Mission Opportunities:

The BSM offers students the opportunity to serve through missions year round. Check with us throughout the year to see where we are going and how you can be a part of taking the gospel to the nations.

International Ministry:

Welcome international students! Every month the BSM hosts an event for our exchange students; some months, we invite international students to prepare a special meal from their home country and eat together. Other times, we plan roadtrip events in the surrounding area, or we fellowship together with games and movies.

Our BSM can also help you get to the store if you need a ride.

Midnight Worship

This is a monthly night of worship in Pete's Place starting at 12:00am. Anyone is welcome, and we'd love to see you there!

Leadership Team:

Looking to get involved with planning, serving, or teaching? We have a leadership team comprised of about 35 students who lead Bible studies in the dorms and help plan events.

Leadership team meets every two weeks to share stories and encourage each other. There is also a freshman leadership team that will meet every other Monday night for leadership training and planning events for the semester.

Check with the BSM for more information on other events throughout the semester!
