Inclusive Access (VitalSource) textbooks:

Most courses at the Hawaii and American Samoa campuses will have digital books available in Blackboard using VitalSource at a reduced cost.  For students receiving VA CH31 Voc Rehab benefits, these textbooks are payable by the VA.  Wayland uses a Textbook Receipt Form (TRF) that a student must complete and sign each session to authorize VA payment of their eTextbooks.
Benefits of the eTextbook include easy access to your eTextbook on the first day of the session through Blackboard or Vitalsource.com. Use your Wayland email account as your login ID.
If you do not wish to use eTextbooks, students must OPT OUT by Census Date (7 days from the start of the session). Although your account has been charged automatically, VitalSource allows a "try before your buy" for the first 7 days of the course. You must then determine to keep the VitalSource textbook or opt out and obtain your own textbook.
Students are responsible to have access to a textbook on the first day of class. If you decide to opt out, your account will be updated with charges removed sometime after Census date. Students may also need to create Cengage and Pearson accounts for some eTextbooks.
